The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Finance Officer - Payables professional who thrives in high-volume environments? Do you pride yourself on your accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail? If so, this could be the role for you.

We’re looking for a skilled Finance Officer - Payables to join our Finance Team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations. Your work will help keep our operations running smoothly, supporting our purpose of Inspiring Healthy and Happy Living.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile high-volume supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage and resolve accounts payable queries promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate and perform payment runs in line with company policies and supplier terms.
  • Verify, process, and record expense reimbursements.
  • Maintain accurate supplier data and financial records.
  • Support month-end reporting, audits, and compliance activities.
  • Contribute to process improvements and financial risk management.
  • Assist with accounts receivable, reconciliations, and other finance functions as required.


Skills And Experiences

About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

Essential:

  • Proven experience with high volume accounts payable workflows.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and accounting software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships.

Highly desirable:

  • Ability to present financial data in a clear and practical way.
  • Experience with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) solutions.
  • Understanding of audit, reporting, and compliance obligations.
  • Awareness of financial risk with the ability to suggest solutions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting (desirable).
  • Experience in the not-for-profit, aged care, wellness, or disability sectors (advantageous).
