About the Role

Join BallyCara’s Village Team as an Emergency Response Officer and make a genuine difference every day. You’ll be the first responder when residents need assistance, providing reassurance, care, and support to help them live safely and confidently at home. This role includes day, afternoon, and sleepover shifts to cover staff leave, including Christmas and other leave periods.

What You’ll Do

  • Respond promptly to emergency call activations from residents
  • Provide first aid and basic medical assistance as required
  • Support residents in maintaining independence and safety
  • Deliver compassionate, hands-on assistance
  • Maintain accurate incident and handover documentation
  • Work collaboratively with the Emergency Response Team
  • Ensure emergency equipment is maintained and ready for use
  • Promote safety, wellbeing, and person-centered care


Skills And Experiences

What You’ll Need

  • Flexibility to work on a casual basis, including day, afternoon, and sleepover shifts across a 7-day roster
  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or Individual Support (essential)
  • Experience or knowledge in emergency response, first aid, or similar settings
  • Ability to remain calm and make quick, confident decisions under pressure
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical capability to meet the demands of the role
  • Current First Aid & CPR, Police Check, and a valid Driver’s Licence
