Description

We are seeking a dedicated Allied Health Assistant to join our Wellness Team, supporting clients across South East Queensland through our restorative care pathway and STRC services. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of older people.

About the Role

As an Allied Health Assistant, you will work under the guidance of our Senior Health Practitioner and allied health professionals to:

  • Assist with the delivery of wellness, reablement, and restorative care programs to help clients improve strength, mobility, and independence.
  • Provide clinical and non-clinical support to facilitate access to therapeutic services both onsite at our Wellness Centre, Cara's and Co's and within the community.
  • Support clients in person, via telehealth, individually, or in group-based formats.
  • Monitor client progress, document outcomes, and contribute to care planning and reviews.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues, promoting BallyCara’s values and commitment to Positive Ageing.


Skills And Experiences

What We’re Looking For

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent), or completion of at least one clinical placement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with older people.
  • A genuine passion for wellness and supporting older adults to live with dignity, choice, and independence.
  • Organisational and documentation skills, including clinical note-taking.
  • Current Police Check, First Aid and CPR (COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations encouraged).
  • Previous experience in aged care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or similar fields (desirable).
