Students within the college are typically motivated and engaged, creating a positive environment for delivering focused, academic lessons. You will guide learners through core areas such as algebra, calculus, statistics, and mechanics, ensuring they build both confidence and technical accuracy.
There is also an expectation that you will support students through revision strategies and examination preparation as they approach final assessments.
Within this post-16 setting, your role will include:
Delivering structured A-Level Mathematics lessons
Supporting students preparing for university-level study
Assessing student progress through regular testing and feedback
Providing targeted intervention sessions where required
Supporting revision programmes ahead of examinations
Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
Teachers are encouraged to maintain high academic expectations while supporting students to develop independent study habits.

Students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning, contributing to a focused and respectful classroom culture.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of A-Level Mathematics requirements. Experience teaching at post-16 level is highly desirable, though strong secondary Maths teachers with A-Level teaching experience may also be considered.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong Mathematics subject knowledge
Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics (preferred)
Ability to support high-achieving students
