Job Title: Lineside Support Operative

Location: Scarborough

Our Vision & Why It Matters

At Alexander Dennis, our vision is to lead the evolution of sustainable on-road mass transportation and mobility.

We design, deliver, and support market-leading buses and coaches that help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and keep communities connected. Every role contributes to that mission whether you’re engineering, driving sales, improving production, or supporting our customers.

What You’ll Do

As a Lineside Support Operative, you’ll play a key role in supporting our warehouse and production operations. You’ll handle goods receiving, putaway, picking, packing, dispatching, and delivering materials to production lines, ensuring our internal and external customers receive what they need, when they need it. You’ll also safely operate a range of material-handling equipment, keep systems updated, maintain strong housekeeping standards, and contribute to a smooth and efficient logistics operation.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring experience in a Manufacturing or Logistics environment, with strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be confident working both independently and as part of a team, with good computer literacy and an awareness of Health & Safety requirements. An MHE licence is essential for this role, or you must be willing to undertake the necessary training.

Bonus if you have:

  • Existing MHE qualifications (e.g., Forklift Truck, Scissor Lift)
  • Experience using Syspro or similar MRP systems
  • Knowledge of logistics, stock control, or line‑feeding processes
