Finance Manager

Job Description

A well-established and ambitious business based near Driffield is looking to appoint a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This is a dynamic, hands-on role offering a competitive salary of £50,000 - £55,000 plus a strong benefits package.

As the Finance Manager, you will:

• Oversee the full month-end process across multiple entities, including accruals, prepayments, and preparation of statutory accounts

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow reporting – consolidating Group-wide data and presenting insights to the board

• Drive continuous improvement across accounting practices and ensure efficient, compliant financial operations

• Manage audits, HMRC processes, payroll, VAT, and the payment cycle, while monitoring debtors and creditors

• Supervise an Accounts Assistant and support wider team development

• Monitor stock levels and provide monthly reports within a manufacturing environment

• Manage multiple bank accounts and deliver ad-hoc analysis to support strategic decision-making

To be successful in this Finance Manager role, you will ideally have:

• A professional accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

• Proven experience in a broad financial management role, ideally across multiple companies

• Strong Excel and accounting system skills

• Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive and solution-focused approach

• Confident communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively
