We’re looking for a passionate, driven, and dynamic professional to join our management team within our innovative No Wrong Door (NWD) service as a Deputy Manager, leading with purpose and making a real difference in the lives of young people

Working within the No Wrong Door model provides an exceptional opportunity shape their lives in a nurturing environment with unconditional regard that creates long standing positive change.

About the service

Stepney Road Children’s Home provides care for up to six children aged from 12-17. Our children will have experienced adverse childhood experiences, childhood trauma, and sometimes additional neurodiversity: all of which have meant their journey in life so far has been difficult to navigate.

We provide trauma-informed, therapeutic care that sees children as individuals with their own diverse needs and characters. We accept emergency placements alongside providing short to medium term care.

All our children are recognised as unique, and our aim is to support them through their current difficulties, including health and educational barriers, to ensure that when they leave us they are in a stronger and more positive position to navigate their future.

About the role

The role of Deputy Manager is dynamic and diverse, requiring a confident, autonomous individual to drive forward practice and influence stakeholders, partners and colleagues.

Key responsibilities:

·       Chair and coordinate RAISE meetings with key agencies to address safeguarding concerns and risk.

·       Work closely with partners and stakeholders to make informed decisions that prioritise the safety and wellbeing of young people.

  • Use evidence-based approaches like Signs of Safety and Restorative Practice to enact change and improve outcomes.
  • Provide hands-on leadership, support, and direction to staff, helping them deliver exceptional care.
  • Influence strategic developments and ensure NWD remains a priority across multi-agency networks.
  • Focus on local placements with the clear objective of improving work with families, and safely reduce the number of children entering care.

You will be part of a forward-thinking team that’s transforming care for young people. You’ll be at the forefront of a model that’s nationally recognised for its innovation and effectiveness, with the opportunity to shape practice, policy, and lives.
