Description
Are you an upbeat, practical people person who enjoys being out and about, helping things run smoothly and making others feel welcome?
We’re looking for a Casual Village Concierge to support residents and the village team at our Scarborough retirement village. A key part of the role is driving our village bus, so you’ll need a current LR driver’s licence and confidence behind the wheel.
This is a community and hospitality role. It is not a support worker position: the focus is on welcoming residents, helping with village activities and practical arrangements, and contributing to a friendly, active community.
What you’ll do
- Drive the village bus to support resident outings and transport needs
- Respond helpfully to enquiries
- Assist with village events, activities and day-to-day community life
- Help the village team with events, practical tasks, set-up and coordination
- Notice what needs doing and pitch in to keep things running smoothly
Skills And Experiences
What you’ll bring
- A current LR driver’s licence and a safe, responsible driving style
- A warm, engaging manner and enjoyment of connecting with older people
- Energy, initiative and a practical, can-do approach
- Reliability, flexibility and the ability to work well with a team
- Customer service, hospitality or community experience is an advantage
