Temporary Accounts Assistant

Job Description

A business based in Scarborough are currently recruiting for a Temporary Accounts Assistant to join their team on a temporary, ongoing basis. This role offers full or part-time working (30 hours minimum per week). In addition, this role offers an hourly rate of circa £14 to £16 per hour, reflecting your valuable expertise and potential qualification level. This role is temporary ongoing (for 2-3+ months), with an immediate start. This role would be ideal for someone who is immediately available with finance experience seeking a new role to start in September/October, continuing through into the run-up to Christmas.

As a Temporary Accounts Assistant, you will be:

• Assisting with regular financial functions, including preparing BACs runs for suppliers.
• Weekly Bank reconciliation
• Monthly update of the fixed asset register
• Assist in production of monthly management reports, managing budget allocation and cost analysis
• Assist with the preparation of VAT returns
• Assist with budget related activities
• Assist with Payroll administration

To be successful in this Temporary Accounts Assistant role, you will ideally have/be:

• Strong organisational, attention to detail and time management skills
  
• Proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software, with the ability to manage invoicing and reporting
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• AAT qualified or similar level experience (QBE)
• Previous experience of responsibility for accounts function in small to medium sized business
