Reliability Technician - Lubrication

Location: Scarborough
Salary: upto £40k DOE
Shift: Panama 
Overtime: Paid

We are recruiting for a Reliability/Lubrication Technician to join a well-established, high-volume manufacturing site in Scarborough. This is a great opportunity for a mechanically minded engineer or technician with experience in lubrication, reliability or condition-based maintenance to join a forward-thinking engineering team.

The Role

Working as part of the Reliability team, you will help improve asset reliability, equipment life and OEE, while reducing unplanned downtime.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver planned preventative lubrication schedules across the site
  • Lubricate and inspect bearings, gearboxes and rotating equipment
  • Monitor automatic lubrication systems and single-point lubricators
  • Identify wear, leaks and abnormal equipment conditions before they result in failure
  • Maintain lubricant storage, handling and contamination-control standards
  • Record maintenance activity and raise notifications through SAP/CMMS
  • Work closely with Engineering and Production around planned maintenance and shutdowns
  • Support continuous improvement of lubrication routes, frequencies and reliability practices

What We're Looking For

  • Engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or relevant time-served experience
  • Mechanical understanding of bearings, gearboxes, rotating equipment and lubrication systems
  • Previous maintenance, reliability or lubrication experience
  • Understanding of PPM and predictive/condition-based maintenance
  • FMCG or food manufacturing experience would be advantageous but isn't essential
  • Lubrication or CBM qualifications such as ICML MLT I or Mobius Category I would be beneficial, although training can be provided
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to reliability and health & safety
