Senior HR Advisor

Location: Scarborough
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Working Pattern: Full time, office based, Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys being at the heart of a busy manufacturing environment? We're working with a well-established manufacturing business in Scarborough that is looking to strengthen its People team with the addition of a Senior HR Advisor. This is a full-time, office-based role, working Monday to Friday, offering the opportunity to work closely with managers across the site, provide practical HR support and play a key role in strengthening employee engagement, compliance and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR partner, providing practical advice and guidance to managers and employees.
  • Manage a range of employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance issues.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to development and offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation, contracts and employee records, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
  • Coach and support line managers to build confidence in people management.
  • Contribute to HR projects focused on engagement, wellbeing, training and continuous improvement.
  • Develop strong working relationships across Production, Operations, Engineering and other support functions.

About You

You'll already have experience in a generalist HR role and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Previous HR experience within manufacturing, engineering or another operational environment.
  • Confidence managing a broad range of employee relations cases.
  • A sound understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive, approachable style with the ability to build credibility across the business.
  • CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification would be advantageous, although relevant experience is equally important.

What's on Offer?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and successful manufacturing business where you'll have real variety, autonomy and the chance to make a positive impact on both the people agenda and the wider business. If you're looking for a role where you can build strong relationships, influence positive change and continue developing your HR career, we'd love to hear from you.
